CALLING THE WORLD'S BEST GREEN STARTUPS
In 2024, the Verbier Summit launched its first Green Startup competition. In less than 2 months, the summit attracted more 200 startup applications from all over Europe, with 6 finalists and 3 winners.
The 2025 competition starts 6 months early on September 17, 2024 and is open to attract the best 40 startups in Europe to Verbier on March 7, 2025 to compete in the Finals. Green Startups can apply in the following categories:
- Sustainable Transport & Logistics
- Green Fintechs & Finance
- Sustainability & Digitalisation
- Circular Economy
- Climate Tech & Decarbonization
- Nature & Biodiversity Tech
- Energy Transition
Dubbed the “Champions League” of Green Startups, the Verbier Summit is bringing Europe’s 40 best startups that address our climate, nature and biodiversity challenges. The competition is staged as follows:
- Competition Opens: September 16, 2024
- Preliminary Round: September 16-December 16, 2024
- Review of all Startup Applications: December 16-December 23, 2024
- Announcement & Invitations of Top40: December 23, 2024
- Final Round: March 7, 2025 in two rounds:

- Semi-Finals: the Top 40 are competing in each category and will be voted by our Partners.
- Final: 7 finalists compete on the main stage and will be voted by the audience.

- Winners: 3 winners will be selected with a prize to be determined before the final.

The Basic Terms & Conditions of the competition are as follows and applicants need to comply to the following rules:
- Deck: Must have a deck to share (PDF & non-NDA version)
- Fund-raising for pre-Seed, Seed Stage or Series A
- Categories: Be in one of the following categories: Sustainable Transport & Logistics, Green Fintechs & Finance, Sustainability & Digitalisation, Circular Economy, Climate Tech & Decarbonization, Nature & Biodiversity Tech, Energy Transition
- Location: Europe-based (EU, UK, Switzerland, EFTA, Turkey, Ukraine)
- Website: you must have a website
- Deadline: respect the December 16, 2024 deadline
- Be ready: to come to Verbier on March 7, 2025 at own cost (2 people max.)
- Prizes: for the 3 finalists will be determined before March 7, 2025
